Get Your Strut on for a Good Cause – Delray Beach 6th Annual Stiletto Race


DELRAY BEACH, FL— The 6th Annual Stiletto Race, Official Sporting Event of Delray Fashion Week, Scheduled for Friday, January 26, 2018 from 5:30-7:30pm.

Kick up those stiletto clad heels! Men and women alike are invited to slip on their fiercest stilettos as they sprint, strut or sashay 75 meters for the 6th Annual Vince Canning Stiletto Race, benefiting the Achievement Centers for Children & Families. Competitors dash down the Streets of Delray in a colorful categories for the chance to win themed trophies, bragging rights and fabulous prizes.

Spectators are in for a colorful treat as sprinters make their way through downtown Delray Beach Friday, January 26th. Pumps hit the pavement at 6:30pm as stiletto-donning runners sprint, stumble, and fumble down the sidewalks of Old School Square dueling their way towards the Atlantic Avenue finish line, and all for a great cause to boot. The Vince Canning Stiletto Race was created by Vince Canning Jr.’s niece, and now owner of Vince Canning Shoes, LaRonda Denkler to celebrate the store’s 61st year on Atlantic Avenue. Now in its 66th year, Vince Canning Jr.’s legacy still lives on. Vince dedicated his life to giving back to the local community, touching the lives of many. Among his many charitable doings, Vince continuously supported the Achievement Centers for Children & Families since its inception. Contestants with a competitive spirit are encouraged to enter the following: Women’s 75 Meter Dash, Men’s 75 Meter Dash, 65+ Silver Sneaker, Relay, Runaway Bride, Most Creative Shoe and Sexy Strut. Ladies and gentlemen looking to put some pep in their step and who have a passion for supporting a local nonprofit, with a mission to develop and aid the community, are encouraged to sign up today!
